The Centre’s interior design progresses

I am delighted to report that the interior and decor of the Centre is now being designed by three young graduates of the Sofia University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

Lyndmil Konakchiev, Diana Nikolova and Stanimir Georgiev are giving their time and expertise free to plan the finishes for walls, ceilings and floors, lighting fixtures, decorations, furnishings, etc.

On my visit in February Lyndmil showed me some amazing 3D computer-generated designs for the large auditorium, and the ground-floor entrance foyer.  He has novel ideas for modern low-energy concealed lighting, false-ceilings to hide large air-conditioning ducts, and special reception and exhibition areas in the foyer…these of the main auditorium are preliminary but give an exciting idea of the final appearance.
