Bulgarian concert raises more than £2,500!

A Musical Evening with a Bulgarian Flavour, which took place at Upton House, in Tetbury, Gloucestershire on Saturday, raised more than 2,500 pounds to go towards the building of the new medical, educational and training centre in Sofia

.

Commenting on the successful evening, Geoff Wallis, honorary secretary of Bulgarian Partners Trust, said that in addition to raising important funds, it really helped to “raise the profile of the project.”

Geoff said that the four Bulgarian violinists and one pianist, who performed a classical concert followed by traditional Bulgarian song and dance, “provided an excellent evening’s entertainment” and the event offered the “opportunity for five young musicians to showcase their abilities in front of a discerning audience in a wonderfully grand setting.”
